An Charraig Mhor recently staged the second semi final of Tyrones Got Talent in The Patrician in Carrickmore. The atmosphere was electric as the cream of Tyrone talent battled it out for a place in the grand finale with great passion and determination.
Cool FM's Connor Phillips took to the stage by expertly compeering the event by presenting various dancing, singing and comedy acts. The contestants had to face the verdict of four judges who consisted of all-Ireland winning manager and novelist Mickey Harte, dance teacher/ actress Stephanie Faloon, band manger/ novelist Emma Hetherington and Tyrone's answer to Sharon Osbourne 'Carol Doey'. Each judge brought their own opinion and expertise to the fore which was highly entertaining and constructive.
All acts went through an auditions process in order to progress to the semi-final stage, therefore the standard was exceptionally high on the night. The variety amongst the acts appealed to all types of audience members.
Opening the final on December 12 are the following fourteen contestants of all ages: Ciara Martin (Carrickmore), Moon walkers (Benburb), Michael Quinn (Carrickmore), Bernie O'Brien (Loughmacrory), Mary Baxter School Of Dancing (Tyrone), The Ward Sisters (Loughmaccrory), The Gatsbees (Beragh, Gortin and Omagh), Cliodhna's Academy and Tyrone Dance Act (Carrickmore and Omagh), Natasha Quinn (Benburb), Shauna McKernan (Carrickmore), Louise Kane (Gabally), Melissa Grogan (Carrickmore) and Pizzicato (Cookstown).
The judges along with the audience have the power to ensure that their favourite advanced to the final.
