ECUH-Omagh notes

Knockmoyle Hall

KNOCKMOYLE Hall is the venue on Friday, December 1 for a dance. Music is by Country Sensations and dancing is from 9.30pm sharp. Supper served.

Don't forget every Tuesday night dance workshop 8.30pm. Every Saturday 3-4.30pm Irish dancing. Youth Club every Friday 6.30-7.30pm. The bazaar will take place on Sunday, December 17 at 5pm.

Omagh Bridge Club

RESULTS for Thursday, November 23 - 1st North/South - Phil Regan and Kathleen Colgan; 2nd North/South - Fr J McCrory and Attracta McCusker; 1st East/West - Agnes Kelly and Margaret McMahon; 2nd East/West - Eithne Loughrey and Dave Mullan.

Floral Art Society

THE Floral Art Society is having an open demonstration entitled 'Christmas is Coming' by George Madden in the Silverbirch Hotel on Monday, December 4 at 8pm. Tickets £6.

Riding for Disabled

OMAGH Riding for the Disabled Christmas Show will take place at Arvalee on Saturday, December 2 commencing at 9.30am, RDA riders, 12 noon open classes starter stakes followed by heightwise jumping. Horses and ponies both welcome. Contact 0845 2416392.

CCE Omagh Branch

ON Thursday, December 7 parents and families of the children attending the weekly music class are invited to come along to St Joseph's Hall at 7pm for a Christmas celebration. This will be an opportunity for parents to hear how their children are progressing at the class. Branch membership is now due and the fees are £14 for family, £8 for adult and £4 for junior. The branch committee encourage all to become members and support the various branch activities throughout the coming year. The branch treasurer will be available to take membership details. The music class will recommence on Thursday, January 18.

Clanabogan Youth Club

CHRISTMAS Party - It is that time of year again when the young members of Clanabogan Youth Club get busy preparing for their annual Christmas party for the senior citizens of the area. This year the party will be held on December 4 in St Eugene's Hall, Clanabogan at 8.30pm.

Refreshments will be prepared and served by youth club members and there will be entertainment provided by a number of well known local artists. The chief organisers of the event are Owen Taggart and Eimear McGale, senior members of the club. Owen is very pleased with the support provided by all members and the oranising committee. "The party has been running as an annual event for about twenty years now and each year the effort put in by everyone is tremendous," said Owen. "I am confident that this year the party will be a great success."

Everyone is welcome to what is always a great evening and a great chance to catch with friends before Christmas.

Omagh Youth Centre

HIP hop classes (10 week course) starts Tuesday, Janaury 23 to March 27 at Omagh Youth Centre from 8-9.30pm. Age 8-12 years. Cost £20 for 10 weeks plus £4 membership if not a member.

Christmas disco takes place on Friday, December 15 from 7-9pm. Admission £3. Bouncy castle, slide, face painting, etc.

The club will be closed on Monday, December 11 for our Gatetway Club dinner. Drama will continue as usual on Monday December 11 and Monday, 18 December.

As part of the girls programme in the club, a trip has been arranged to Derry on Friday, December 15. The group depart at 5pm from the Leisure Centre car park to go to the Bowling Alley, followed by shopping to the Foyleside. The group will return at approximately 11pm. The cost of the trip is £5 per person.

There will be a trip to the Millennium Forum to see Cinderella on Friday, December 8. The bus departs at 6pm at the Leisure Centre car park and will return at approximately 11.15pm.

St Joseph's Ladies Club

ENJOY a demonstration of Faberge Eggs and Card Making by Deirdere Allen in St Joseph's Hall, Omagh on Wednesday, December 6 at 8.15pm. Admission £2 (including supper).
