COALISLAND/CLONOE Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann will be holding a singing seisiún on Saturday, April 28 at the 'Doghouse' in Derrytresk. This is the first time that the branch has organised a designated singing seisiún although singing has been an integral part of the monthly seisiuns for quite some time and the contribution of a traditional singer is always welcomed.

This Loughshore area has a rich history of traditional songs and singers and this is evident from the many singing weekends and events which have flourished in the locality.

An invitation goes out to all singers or those interested in traditional singing to come along and enjoy a good night's craic. Indeed this night is open to all and this is an opportunity for those who are new or unfamiliar with this facet of traditional culture to find out what the singing scene is all about.
