ECUH-Omagh notes

Omagh Bridge Club

RESULTS for Thursday, April 19: 1st Peg O'Neill and Kitty McMahon 441/2 pts; 2nd Phil Regan and Kathleen Colgan 43 pts; Joint 3rd Eithne Loughrey and Sam Webb and Declan Montague and David O'Donnell 401/2 pts.

The competition for the tankards will be played on Thursday, April 26.

Culmore whist

TOP Score - E Curran 150; 1st Lady - M McCann, T Donnelly 144; 1st Gent - C Maguire 147; 2nd Gent - M McRory 141; Best Half - L Colton 74; Last 3 - J Teague 26. Draw - L Donnelly, K McMahon.

Whist every Sunday in Old Culmore School at 8.30pm. Proceeds to Cancer Research. Everyone welcome.

Fundraising concert

A FUNDRAISING concert will be held in Knockmoyle Community Hall on Saturday, April 28 at 8pm. Proceeds of the concert will be sent to the Phillipines to help families who lost their properties and livelihoods during typhoon Reming last November.

Local and Filipino talents will be performing on the show. This concert is sponsored by Omagh Filipino community and local friends. Please come along and help this worthy cause. Admission £5, children £1. Tickets available from 82 25804 or 82 247252 or pay at the door.

Car boot sale

THERE will be a car boot sale at the Riding for the Disabled, Deverney Road on Sunday, April 29 at 2pm. Cars £5, vans £10. No live animals or birds. Details from 0845 241 6392.

Omagh Floral Art Club

'ALONE' was the intriguing title chosen by Colette Maguire for her demonstration of flower arranging at the recent meeting of Omagh Floral Art Club. Members thoroughly enjoyed watching her work as she created six beautiful arrangements, each standing alone in its beauty, colour and symmetry.

The prize winners in the competition for club members, Fun with Foliage, were Georgina Colhoun, Christine Harper and Kathleen Moss.

As a mark of respect, Violet Little, chairperson spoke of the death of a former secretary of the club, Geraldine Harris.

The club outing will be a visit to the World Garden Fair held this year in Hilllsborough Castle on Saturday, June 9.

The next meeting of the club will be held on Tuesday, May 15 when the demonstrator will be Carol Calvert. Visitors will be welcome.

Omagh Youth Centre

OMAGH Youth Centre will continue as normal. Details of refurbishment will be outlined next week.

The hip hop classes continues on Tuesday nights for juniors from 8-9.30pm.

Personal development continues on Monday nights from 7pm.
