It's a simple, fun and very effective way to raise money for people affected by cancer – just get together with friends, family or work colleagues, add the drink of your choice and maybe something tasty to eat on the side, and you've joined the World's Biggest Coffee Morning!

Like so many of us, my family knows first hand the devastating impact a cancer diagnosis can have and the difference having help and support can make. The money you raise will help Macmillan fund more specialist nurses and health and social care professionals, build more cancer centres, improve access to cancer information and provide more financial support to people living with cancer.

It's great to see every year more and more of you are joining in with World's Biggest Coffee Morning: last year you helped Macmillan raise £7.5 million. With your help this September, we can break the £8.5-million mark. Whether you raise £20 or £200, every pound counts.
