Super Celtic Sunday appeal

The 3rd annual 'Super Celtic Sunday' will take place this Sunday, August 17, in the INF hall in Omagh. After a hugely successful day last year, the organisers are once again calling on all the 'bhoys' to turn out in force for this all day festival of Celtic craic.

The festivities kick off at 2pm when the Celts take on Dundee Utd. live on the big screen. The match will be followed at approximately 6pm, by a fantastic steak barbecue, complete with all the trimmings and as if that wasn't enough, live music will be provided by the legendary 'Dicey Reilly' throughout the evening.

Perhaps an even better reason for people to turn up for this event is that the proceeds from a charity auction will go towards the Katie Maguire Appeal.

As many people may be aware, Celtic Football Club was established in 1888, as a charitable organisation to help eradicate the poverty and hardships experienced mainly by the Irish immigrants in the East End of Glasgow.

That Celtic ethos of charity work has continued to this day and, as Katie's Dad, Gary McCann is originally from Hunter Crescent in Omagh, it seems only fitting that as a Tyrone–based supporters club, we should play our part in helping young Katie Maguire and her family whatever way we can. Last year we successfully raised £1000 for the Billy Caldwell appeal and this year we will be doing our utmost to raise as much as possible towards helping the keepbabykatieawake appeal reach its target.

In addition to the match, the steak barbecue and the music, there will be many items to bid on, raffle and to buy. Including a huge framed Henrik Larsson art deco picture, a once in a life time trip to Celtic Park, to the old firm against Rangers on August 30, a limited print of Jimmy Johnstone and many other crackin' prizes. The entire day costs only £10 (£5 without food) and absolutely everyone is welcome at the INF from 2pm. Tickets can be obtained from any member of the club or paid for at the door.
