Award winning author visits Omagh Library

AWARD-WINNING author, Theresa Breslin visited the Western Education and Library Board's (WELB) Omagh Library recently, as part of Children's Book
Festival.

The session discussed how her book 'Divided City' is used to explore themes of prejudice, racism, sectarianism and friendship. The free event gave budding authors, teachers and advisors the opportunity to learn more about integrating literacy across the curriculum.

Trisha Ward, WELB Assistant Librarian, said, "This was a great opportunity for members of the public to meet such an acclaimed author as Theresa Breslin. Her knowledge and experiences will inspire and stimulate children and adults alike to fully participate in reading."
