THE broadest smile in Tyrone belonged to local St Lawrence Primary School pupil Anita McCoole whose artistic talents won her school a top of the range lap-top computer courtesy of renewable energy company Airtricity.
As part of Airtricity's Greenzone 'Design a Poster' competition, primary schoolchildren from all over Ireland were invited to submit their entries to show off their artistic creativity while conveying a positive environmental message.
Gordon Kyle, Northern Ireland Representative for Airtricity arrived at St Lawrence Primary School to present the young girl and her teacher, Caroline Gallen, with the computer.
He commented, "The standard of entry in this year's 'Design a Poster' competition was very high indeed. The judges picked Ciara as a winner as her poster was bright, very original and conveyed an effective message."
Anita's winning poster will be available to view on the Airtricity Greenzone website at www.greenzone.airtricity.com
The website covers important environmental issues, such as climate change, global warming, as well as the benefits of renewable energy including wind power and how a wind farm works.
It's easy to navigate, colourful, full of lots of interactive games and puzzles and even stars its very own cartoon hero 'Tommy Turbine.'
