Omagh Floral Art fills key positions

Vera Mehaffey welcomed everyone to the AGM and November demonstration. After the business meeting the election of officers took place. The President's badge was presented to Vera Mehaffey by the past president Violet Little. The new Chairperson was Violet Little and Secretary was Breege Kelly, the Treasurer was Jean Hamill. Other positions were soon filled.

The new chairperson welcomed Ann Johnston the demonstrator for the evening. The first exhibit was a tall vertical arrangement formed by branches of dogwood. This was complemented by lime green carnations, green leaves and sprays of ivy paddy's pride. The second exhibit was horizontal in a tall glass. The top was rounded and filled with roses, carnations, sprays of fir and sprays of silver birch sprayed silver.

Two Christmas table arrangements with a round silver ball in the centre surrounded by silver twigs, red gerbhas, silver sprayed ivy seed heads were much admired.

A tall wicker work stand holding blue delphinums and sun flowers was decorated with crystal drops and silver balls.

Mrs Moss thanked Ann Johnston for a wonderful demonstation. A cup of tea finished the evening.
