Hoochie Coochies to play at McGurk's

THE timeless Hoochie Coochie band will be performing their melody of 70s/80s pop and contemporary music at McGurk's Bar in Omagh on Saturday night.

As popular as they were in their heyday, the band is made up of stars who originally brought the pop scene to local bars. They are Liam Nugent, John Kirwan, Johnny Houston, Liam Moore and Gerry McCaul.

The band began as an idea in a pub five years ago as the lads were reminiscing on a bygone era. They decided to get together for fun and found the pub revellers enjoyed listening to their music as much as the band enjoyed playing it.

After a few gigs the band was named and the boys were on the road again.

Saturday night at McGurk's promises to be another great night of music from the Hoochie Coochies as the popular Omagh hostelry prepares for a busy Halloween season ahead.
