THE latest phase of the Northern Ireland Manufacturing Focus Group campaign against proposals to increase industrial rates has begun with a series of site visits by politicians. NIMFG spokesperson Michael Wightman said, "Inviting as many Assembly members as possible to visit factories and manufacturing plants in their constituencies, will give them a chance to see how vibrant our manufacturing sector is.
"It will give them the chance to come face to face with workers who are concerned about their future. It will also give them the chance to see that they can halt this outrageous policy, and give certainty and stability back to the manufacturing sector."
