You may have seen the recent television advertisements that have been promoting this site and its purpose. If you have then don't dismiss it, take notice and inform others. This site provides information about open access to the English countryside, the countryside code and the right to roam. Although it is the English countryside the same principles should be applied to every inch of countryside no matter which country it is in. The two most important sections of this site include 'What you need to know' and 'The countryside code'. Whether you wish to report a problem, take your dog into the countryside or would like to learn more about caring for the countryside, you will find all you need to know under the 'What you need to know' section. The countryside code is very important, if you follow the Countryside Code wherever you go, you'll get the best enjoyment possible and you'll help to protect the countryside now and for future generations.

Are you sick and tired of receiving unwanted mail through your letterbox? It's bad enough that you have to deal with it in your e-mail account but why should you be subjected to it in your own home. If like me you receive an abundance of unsolicited mail to your address in your name or a previous occupants name, then this is one site you should visit. MPSOnline is a mail preference service that enables you to add your name and address to a list used by the direct mail industry so that you can be removed or added. The Royal Mail actively supports MPS and all directly involved trade associations and it is fully supported by the Office of the Information Commissioner. The MPS can remove your name from up to 95% of Direct Mail lists, however, it will not stop mail that has been sent from overseas, un-addressed material or mail addressed to The Occupier.
