In gear for charity antiques fair

Cheers..... Regional Chairman of Lyons Club, Roy Wilkinson with Lyon Peter Akien and antique character jugs, available at the forthcoming Antiques Fair on Sunday 20th April at SWC, Omagh Campus 12.30pm - 5.30pm. Admission £3, children free. JBUH18

The second mammoth Antiques, Jewellery and Fine Art Fair, organised by Omagh Lions Club, will take place on Sunday, April 20 at Omagh's new South West College (opposite the bus depot).

This year's main beneficiary will be the local branch of Chest, Heart and Stroke Association and a host of stalls will offer an exceptional range of items from major antique dealers from throughout the country.

Organisers, Roy Wilkinson and Peter Akien outlined what bargain hunters and serious collectors can expect on the day. "This year the fair will cater for all collectors' needs. We have a wide range of antique and modern jewellery, Parianware, glass, pictures, vases and oil lamps as well as a vast array of Victoria silverware, flatware and trinkets.

"We have dealers specialising in modern collectables from Beswick pottery to Royal Doulton figurines. Local art and Irish art will be available to buy and collectors of militaria won't be disappointed."

This is a unique opportunity to come and view the wares and buy from over 35 stands. Dealers have travelled from all over Northern Ireland and Dublin to lend their support to this worthy charity.

A large number of these exhibitors will have been to the fairs in Swinderby and Newark and will be selling plenty of fresh stock at reasonable prices.

The fair will also offer visitors an opportunity to buy unique gifts or furnishing items for their home or just a simple keepsake for a loved one.

Doors open at 12 noon and close at 5pm, so come early and bag a bargain. Food will be served throughout the day.
