Sally's dedicates last hurrah to Billy
AS THE popular Omagh night spot, Sally O'Brien's prepares to close their doors for nine month while undergoing a major refurbishment, they have dedicated their last night in operation to the Billy's Ray of Hope Fund.
This Saturday night, September 1, Sally's will be donating £1 for every patron that enters the nightclub. Their will also be donation buckets at the pay desk for anyone who wishes to make a personal donation to the fund.
Proprietor of Sally's, John McGirr said Billy's story had touched the hearts of so many, his staff suggested this would be a fitting way for them to make a contribution on the last night that sally's will be open in it's current form.
Shocking statistics
An all-party parliamentary epilepsy study that can be found on the joint epilepsy council website states, in Britain there are 400 avoidable deaths a year caused by epilepsy; there are 69,000 people living with unnecessary seizures; 74,000 people taking drugs they do not need; and 189 million needlessly spent each year, declaring, 'wasted money, wasted lives'.
