Local graduate chosen for 'Exporting Excellence' programme

HENRIK Favari, originally from Hungary and living in Omagh for over five years, is one of the first graduates to be chosen to participate in the new Invest Northern Ireland E2 'Exporting Excellence' programme.

This exciting new graduate export development initiative provides marketing and exporting training for graduates from all degree backgrounds. Training is accredited by the Marketing Institute of Ireland and is designed to develop the personal and professional skills necessary for a graduate's first steps towards an export marketing career.

Already a number of high-flying graduates like Henrik have been matched with companies across Northern Ireland, giving them a helping hand on the career ladder.

The E2 Programme involves a 'matching process' to ensure graduates and companies complement each other perfectly and that each company and graduate gets what they need from the programme.

A recent graduate of University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Henrik is delighted to have been matched already and is looking forward to the challenge of his new career.

He said, "I have been placed with Ward Design, a construction design company based in Castledawson. I am delighted with the exciting challenges that this position offers me. I really feel that I am giving myself a competitive edge by taking part in this programme as it not only offers me a placement with a well established, progressive Northern Ireland based company but it also provides invaluable training, advice and support throughout the programme. "

Victor Jordan, Director of Business Improvement Services, Invest NI added, "Invest NI created the E2 programme to help local businesses grow and develop in export markets. By providing support, advice and a talented graduate to help firms explore export potential, E2 ensures that companies and graduates develop new skills which will deliver maximum benefits to all involved and add value to the Northern Ireland economy."

With the first two cohorts underway, graduates are encouraged to continue applying for E2 as there will be further intakes this month and June 2007.

Graduates can contact the E2 Recruitment team on 028 9024 0780 or apply today by visiting MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "www.parity.net" claiming to be www.e2programme.com
