A COLM Spracklen header 18 minutes from time at Youth Sport Omagh enabled promoted Rovers to post their first win of the season against a Mallards outfit showing five changes from the midweek team which defeated Lisnaskea Rovers 3-0.
The visitors ran the first-half show but they had only Jarno Glass's 23rd-minute strike to show for their supremacy.Central midfielder, Philip Keenan's defence-splitting pass teed up Glass to round Gary Watson and steer the ball into an empty net.
Dunbreen only came to life after falling behind with Paddy Given and Stephen O'Donnell combining to provide a shooting chance for Patrick Northern who rifled his parting effort past the angle.
Rovers continued in the ascendancy and 10 minutes into the second half they were in front. The equalising goal was worth the wait, five players combining in neat, one-touch football for Northern to 'nutmeg' his marker and carve out the chance for strike partner, O'Donnell to level.
Then left-sided midfielder, Spracklen intercepted Neil Coulter's pass to release Northern who cheekily slipped the ball across Mattie Quinn and inside his far post. However, it was all-square before the hour, Mattie McAuley raiding down the right and crossing for Jarno Glass to fire high to Watson's right hand from the edge of the area.
Spracklen's winner came courtesy of Paul Kelly's explosive dash down the right and a pass inside the full-back which Paddy Given latched onto to supply the cross.
Strollers recover to hit magnificent seven
CLABBY STROLLERS ............................................ 7
ARDSTRAW .......................................................1
PREVIOUSLY pointless Clabby recovered to hit a magnificent seven at King George V Playing Fields in Fivemiletown after Ardstraw's raiding centre back, Kyle Mills rocked them with a 13th-minute opener.
Mills continued to work while Strollers stopped when Ian Hill headed on Gareth Watson's free kick and his fiercely angled shot comprehensively beat the evergreen Barrie Clingen in the home goal.
Clabby needed just three minutes to level, Davy Little firing low beyond Alan Dunlop's left-hand, and, with the Livingstone/Little combination, impressively aided by Ricky Carroll, running Nigel Kee's side ragged, the signs were ominous for the Newtownstewart boys.
Bob Carroll fired Strollers in front from the penalty spot and three minutes later it was 3-1 as Malcolm Browne reacting quickest to sweep the loose ball home when Little forced a good stop from Dunlop.
In the second half Ricky Carroll nipped in for number four after Little's splendid pass caused confusion in the visiting defence. After that the roof caved in.
Davy Johnston tapped in the fifth (75) from Livingstone's low cross, Ricky Carroll did likewise when Alan Dunlop spilled Livingstone's free kick (78) and, in the final minute, after Stephen Dunlop had been red-carded for retaliating on Carroll, Moore diverted Brown's centre into his own goal.
Vintage Tummery turn the tables on United

TUMMERY ATHLETIC...............................................4
A VINTAGE second-half performance, sparked by a stunning free kick from Stephen Cunningham, saw Tummery Athletic run their opponents ragged at Athletic Park on Saturday.
Cunningham's 25-yard set-piece levelled the contest after United striker Peter Oguz had waltzed past two defenders before smashing the ball to the roof of the visiting net, to give the home side the lead on 25 minutes.
Oguz also rifled an effort over the top but once Cunningham struck with devastating effect three minutes into the new half, it was all one way traffic as the Dromore men ran riot.
A sweeping move involving Cunningham, Pete McGinn, Ryan McCallion ended with Stephen McCullagh teeing up Johnny Winser, who sublimely chipped the goalkeeper from 15 yards to make it 2-1.
McCullagh added number three, swooping on a rebound after Martin had initially saved from McCallion, and in the final minutes, substitute Stephen McGinn wrapped up a thrilling display by running all of 40 yards before blasting the ball past the stranded United netminder.
