TWO Tyrone finalists have been announced in the National Quality and Excellence Awards 2007 and will now go on to the major event which will take place in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin on October 11.
They are the Centra shop on Omagh's Brookemount Road which has been chosen in the Hygiene NI Retailer section; and Frylite of Strab ane which is a finalist in the Hygiene Distribution and General section.
The awards are fun by Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA) the certification body and the national quality association since 1969 which promotes business excellence across all industries. The Tyrone finalists are among those chosen from over 3,000 entries.
37TH YEAR
This is the 37th year of the awards which is divided into 22 categories spread across three main areas Quality and Excellence, Hygiene and Food Safety and Employee Engagement.
Speaking at the announcement of the finalists, EOQA managing director Paul O'Grady said, "Successful business in Ireland and in the world markets today depends on talented people, with a personal and professional commitment to continuous improvement. The evident drive, commitment and achievement of all this year entries is clearly demonstrated by this national ceremony.
