OMAGH fundraiser, Jimmy Carrigan, has paid a special tribute to his wife Gina who sadly passed away to cancer.
Together with the Ulster Cancer Foundation Jimmy has created the 'Gina Carrigan Forget Me Not Fund' and was delighted to present the charity with a cheque for £3,055.
Jimmy raised the money by organising a sponsored climb of Mount Errigal in Co. Donegal which took place on July 15.
The event was very well attended and Jimmy would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part and raised such a tremendous amount for the 'Gina Carrigan Forget Me Not Fund'.
The Ulster Cancer Foundation was the first charity in Northern Ireland to introduce Forget Me Not tribute funds, which is a special way of giving donations to the charity. The Forget Me Not funds are a way to celebrate a life whilst making a difference. Some people may choose to set up a fund in honour of a friend or loved one who has passed away, whilst others will set up a fund to celebrate surviving cancer.
Family, friends and work colleagues can all support the funds - in any way that is right for them and for as long as they like.
The Ulster Cancer Foundation is committed to providing care and support for cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland.
Forget Me Not Funds can help change the lives of people, not just today but for future generations.
