Youths causing an will be brought home to parents

POLICE in Omagh are warning that teenagers caught causing a nuisance to local residents will be taken home to their parents, and may even face prosecution.

A number of reports have been received about the activity of young teenagers in the Crevenagh area. This has involved youngsters running through gardens and damaging hedges and plants.

Commented Inspector Billy Williams, "This type of behaviour causes a great deal of annoyance and even distress to some residents.

"When we identify or stop anyone involved we will inform parents and we may also take action if there is damage to property.

"The reports we have received indicate that those involved are aged 13 to 15. Parents should know where children of this age are at all time and should impress on them the need to respect the property of others."
