Moy Park announce major appointments

MOY Park has appointed Nigel Dunlop as its new managing director and CEO. Dunlop, 50, comes to Moy Park from Gallaher Tobacco plc where he was executive director on the main board until the business – ranked 45 in the FTSE 100 – was acquired by Japan Tobacco in April 2007.

Since the acquisition, Dunlop has continued with Gallaher to work on the integration of the two businesses. He is also a non-executive director of Warburton's, today the number one independent bread baker and second largest grocery brand. He is a Northern Ireland resident.

As previously announced, Dr Trefor Campbell, 63, has been appointed chairman of the Moy Park Group having been managing director since 1984 during which time he steered the company through its extraordinary growth phase.

Campbell will continue with his strategic planning role across the OSI Group's poultry businesses worldwide. He will also be continuing his role as patron of The Princes Trust in Northern Ireland.

Moy Park is today one of Europe's major players in the poultry industry with sales of over £700m and employing some 7,500 people across 12 sites in Northern Ireland, England and France.
