A motorist who was stopped by police on the Woodlough Road, Dungannon last May was found to be over the alcohol limit.
Saulis Rubinsjas (26) of Old Eglish Road has been disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £100 for the offence. The magistrates court was told an evidential breath sample obtained from the defendant recorded a reading of 49 microgrammes, 14 in excess of the legal limit.
Rubinskas has previous convictions in 2006 for driving without tax and insurance and speeding. The defendant said he had accepted the facts and outcome of the case and had taken steps to get to work while he is disqualified.
He was allowed four weeks to pay the fine.
