THIS Friday the 13th is set to be a lucky day for local rock fans when A Little Bitter take to the stage at The Terrace.
The Northern Irish metal heads have just released their second album, New Dawn Evolution, which is already receiving rave reviews.
The power trio, formed in 2004, are made up of Jonny Armstrong vocals/guitar, Darren Pilkington drums/vocals and Seamy Donnelly bass/vocals. As with the band's previous album, The Blood, New Dawn Evolution was recorded at Manor Park studios with renowned producer Neal Calderwood (Therapy, Clutch, The Answer, Fighting With Wire, In Case Of Fire) and shows a marked growth in the overall band sound.
Hailed as "great sound," by MetalIreland.com, this is a band who are certainly destined for stadiums.
Influences range from AC/DC, Metallica, Rush, Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam merged with a singer/songwriter lyrical sensibility. The band creates music that can be enjoyed with horns in the air and a beer in hand or with headphones on to pick up the finer intricacies. Jonny's vocals have a power and fragility likened to Corey Taylor meets Adam Duritz with a Chris Cornell middle ground.
A Little Bitter will play The Terrace this Friday night. For more information contact the venue.
