The magistrate at Dungannon court described the speed a BMW was travelling on the Moneymore dual carriageway when it clocked 132 miles per hour as 'horrendous.' The limit for that stretch of road is 70mph and Anthony William Hunte (49) of Cloneen Drive, Moneymore had been driving at 62mph over that limit.
He has been fined £200 for the offence and had six penalty points endorsed on his licence. Hunte currently has three points on his licence and is now just three more away from a disqualification.
