Rape and indecent assault charges dropped

The Public Prosecution Service (PPS) has withdrawn a charge of rape and two counts of indecent assault that had been made against a Clogher man.

William Hamilton (33) of Mc Crea Park had strenuously denied committing the offences against a Beragh woman on January 8.

Last week Omagh Magistrates Court was told the PPS had made the decision that Mr Hamilton had no case to answer regarding all three accusations made against him.
