Main Street is a vibrant area

I WISH to refer to the letter dated November 12 from your correspondent 'Disgruntled' in which Omagh's city status was referred to as 'a pipe dream.'

Reference was made to a footbridge leading to Main Street, an area which was described as 'dying on its feet.'

I can testify that it is a vibrant area and good luck to all concerned. Your correspondent probably meant High Street and Market Street.

Slight umbrage could be taken at the proposal to make a city of a town of 25,000 souls being termed laughable.

Sure the population of the town of Omaha, Arkansas is a mere 125.
