POLICE in Omagh are investigating an assault that occurred in the early hours of June 1 in the Campsie area.

The incident involved two men and occurred at a car parked outside a food take-away shop. One of the men was sitting in the rear of the car and the other standing on the pavement.

Police are particularly keen to hear from some Hungarian men who were not directly involved, but had been talking to one of the men and assisted in calming things down when the incident occurred.
