Drumquin model reveals all on new Channel 4 series

BY MARK MCKELVEY

DRUMQUIN glamour model Leanne McNulty has seen her modelling career swell to new levels in recent months, appearing in a number of lads' mags and is about to make her TV debut.

The 24 year-old is about to peel off for Channel 4's fashion series How To Look Good Naked a show which goes on the road for a British tour, asking women to talk about their bodies; what they love, loathe or maybe want to change.

Leanne explained, "Channel 4 contacted my manager looking for models to appear on the show. At first I wasn't really interested but they wanted a models perspective on their body to show that models have hang-ups about their body also and make people feel better about themselves.

CHANGE

Leanne was interviewed and filmed when they came to Belfast on March 3, when she revealed to the show the parts of her body that she would most like to change were her nose and her bum.

She said, "I would definitely change them. I don't think anybody is totally happy with their body and there are a lot of little things I would change."

Unfortunately Leanne won't be in the country when the show is broadcast in May as she will be attending her sister's wedding in Australia. But making the most of her month long visit down under she has set up a photo shoot in the sand and surf of Bondi beach in Sydney.

Having already appeared in Nuts, Leanne is set to be in the April edition of Maxim and only this week it has been confirmed that she will soon be appearing in the pages of Zoo and Loaded.

"I am in a competition in Maxim, and if I win I receive a contract to become a Maxim Model. Things have happened very quickly, it is a bit of a roller-coaster but I am really enjoying it," said Leanne.

"I do mostly underwear shots or implied topless, I used to do topless but I have decided not to do those photo shoots anymore. Doing this has made me feel more confident about myself but also people tell you what they really think which sometimes can be hard, there's no holding back."

"It is great to be in magazines that are sold all over the world, getting to try out new looks in each photo shoots, travel and meet lots of new people.

CONTRACT

"I have a contract with one of the top London agencys Models Direct, but as I am also a care assistant I have to be selective in the jobs I choose due to time constraints."

With such a competitive industry Leanne remarked she only has a few years left before she is deemed too old by agency's.

She said, "I am nearly 25 and I have been told that 27 is the end of the road in this industry so I only have a few years left. This is something that I accidentally fell into doing but now I have I am really enjoying it."
