Last Saturday night saw Main Street packed to capacity to hear local family four-piece band Macz who were hot on the heels of Knotty Pine and Galswegian star Amy Belle who is quoted on her myspace site as saying, "I can honestly say it was the most enjoyable gig I have played in a very long time..... The crowd were fantastic and I just smiled and smiled."

Macz really turned up the heat and took the crowd to a new level of enjoyment with their mixture of modern and classic tunes which kept the crowd on their feet all night.

Leeanne Monteith, marketing department of Inn House Ltd said that the Hot Summer Nights have been such a success that they intend to continue them into September with more great acts to follow.

Next up to take the stage this Saturday is local band Freerider with a few special guests appearing to perform an acoustic busking session.

Michael McElroy, of Inn House Ltd, said, "Never in my lifetime in the entertainment business have I been greeted with the enormity of enjoyment and goodwill of the people in attendance.

"It is an absolute pleasure to provide this form of entertainment free to the public in the town centre."
