Victims of the past are still suffering because murder is murder is murder

In the report 'Victims of the Past' Des Bradley and Lord Eames concluded that most of those murdered throughout the past 35 years have little chance of gaining that justice they deserve.

Mr Bradley, did not elaborate on the Omagh bomb or on recent crimes but continued, that evidence in some cases had corroded, and in some cases of being time barred or that in the past events do not measure to modern methods of enquiry? Political and flawed investigations. Murder is murder, is murder . . . it is not old fashioned or a thing of the past, we are dismissing investigation fact finding hard evidence then DNA to back up the latter.

I demand the security of getting sound convictions. I will not be quiescent. It was noted that no one from Sinn Fein/IRA was at the meeting, mind you in the past they promised they would never kill again that is rich considering their past promises.

On saying that, maybe we can look back to the past, on the moral wasteland we are asked to accept as peace, and I refer to the report Bradley/Lord Eames and bring to your attention the On the Run/Terrorist Amnesty.

The release of those who have committed unknown heinous crimes and not only that, get off scot free and have the benefit of anonymity, fleeing justice and have not to reply or indeed turn up to any court or tribunal and would not have to answer for their crimes.

This was not, and is not part of the 'Agreement' but maybe one of the stitched on side deals to Sinn Fein/IRA thought up behind closed doors by the Ahern/Blair double act. I ask what other embroidery have they offered for no more murders. Mind you this amnesty did not just apply to Sinn Fein/IRA, the British Army was included.

This of course, was not great for Gerry Adams/Martin McGuinness, more a sweet and sour meal who admitted that they in fact did not know how many were released or what they had done remarking maybe some were innocent, one sure thing is that the 'On the Run's' fled in an exodus of mass absolution, nothing for the victims.

Truth is the victim of this peace with killing and beatings continuing, reconciliation except with friends and family that I love. Political reconciliation is not on my agenda, call it what you may, it is, as if, we are being asked to apologise for being hurt, and that society is embarrassed by our anger. Politicians massage that feeling, they require us to disappear, forgiveness is to make you feel guilty if you don't; it is not the perpetrators who carry the guilt, reconciliation or restorative justice is offered up to an alternative to justice, that is against my quest for truth, peace is not the method of bypassing justice, it is the opposite we cannot accept peace of most of it is a lie; politicians are to receive a call for truth and reconciliation, that truth must be to prosecute those responsible and not as a political massage.

It is not I alone that requires this but my children and faraway children's children.

The truth is not going to satisfy those that become victims, in most cases they are not here to speak out. I am with the help of God.
