Police rapped over botch-up

AN OMAGH man has spoken of the horror experienced by his wife and two young children after their family home was wrongly targeted in a botched drugs raid by police earlier this week. The bungled operation took place at Gortmore Gardens just off the Derry Road on Monday afternoon while the intended target is believed to have simply walked away from the scene. Romanian choir entertain pupils at Gortin PS

IN a week when Romanian families were fleeing their homes in Belfast following a spate of intimidation and attacks, Gortin Primary School pupils were showing the more hospitable side to people in Northern Ireland. Organised through The Smile Foundation, the local school welcomed a Romanian gypsy choir of five girls and two boys last Wednesday for an afternoon of traditional song and dance.
