Four women and a man arrested in Irvinestown area by police investigating serious financial deceptions have been released pending prosecution reports.

They were arrested on Tuesday of last week. The deceptions are alleged to have taken place in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and England.

A police spokesperson said the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation that was likely to continue for some time.
