Martina set for Dublin Marathon

Boho woman Martina McHugh is currently in training to take part in this year's Dublin Marathon.

Like many taking part in the Dublin Marathon on 26th October Martina is raising money for charity - in her case for Multiple Sclerosis - but unlike many raising money Martina actually suffers from the condition herself.

"I have a mild form of MS and I train regularly to keep my legs strong," she says.

This is Martina's third marathon having done Dublin once before and also having completed Belfast. For these events Martina raised money for the Hospice and for Chest, Heart and Stroke.

"I walk them and I would hope to complete the course in about six hours."

Although originally from Boho Martina now lives in Enniskillen and explains she has raised over £600 already for this year's event.

Martina says she trains most days and would normally train in the gym. She says she will have support on the day as her boyfriend is coming down to Dublin with her.

Martina says she has a sponsorship form left in Boho Post Office and anyone who wants to sponsor her can do it either from there or by getting in touch with her.

"People have been really great, and I would love to raise as much money as I can for MS," she said.i
