People in Derrylin are in for a treat this Friday night when one of Ireland's top comedian singers, Richie Kavanagh, takes to the stage.
Opening the show for Kavanagh will be Coalisland singer and guitarist Paul Duffin.
Paul was born in Magherafelt and grew up in a musical family in Cookstown, Co Tyrone. His early influences come from his father Mickey Duffin who is well known in the local music scene, playing in folk bands such as SPRIG and more recently Parcel of Rouges.Throughout Paul's fourteen-year career as a singer and guitarist he has gone from strength to strength and from band to band. Starting out in Jokers Wild, Barstock he then moved on to Rough Touch followed by Made 2 Measure and now finally he fronts his own two-piece group Dilemma who can play all the classics from the 80's to the present day. Although Dilemna are a rock and pop two piece Paul can play a wide variety of music from Irish folk and country to rock and blues.
Paul is well known in the Mid-Ulster areas and has kept people well entertained into the wee hours of the morning playing at bars and weddings. Paul will be appearing with Richie Kavanagh in Blake's this Friday, 5 December at 10.30pm Tickets are priced £10.00.
