The Townhall in Enniskillen was the location for a reception to recognise the Ulster Project.
For many years now, it has been the umbrella under which groups of young people from here have departed for America for four weeks over the summer months.
There, they have been welcomed into communities in Cincinnati, Ohio, Madison and Indiana.
Hosting the reception, the chairman of Fermanagh District Council, Bertie Kerr told his guests he had no doubt that, as in previous years, there was much excitement and anticipation among the Group as they prepared for their forthcoming visit and the opportunity to experience the American way of life.
"Those of you who have been chosen are privileged to represent your community, and I know that you will be excellent ambassadors for County Fermanagh. I believe your schedule is a busy one packed with fun activities.
I also note however, that during your stay, there will also be volunteer opportunities, a chance to 'give something back' to your host community.
"This is also a marvellous opportunity to make new friendships. The memories of this Project should remain with you always. We hope that you will be able to share with us what you have learnt on your return."
The chairman said he wanted to use the opportunity to pay tribute to those involved in the organisation of this Project and the Leaders who would accompany each of the groups.
He told them: "Without your commitment and dedication, this valuable opportunity would not be available to these young people. I trust that you all have an enjoyable trip and that the complete Ulster Project experience will be a memorable one."
