Recording at Molly's Bar


Blas Ceoil, the multiplatform Irish language series is back and this time is coming to Molly's Bar, Irvinestown.

Available on TV, radio and online, Blas Ceoil will be presented by Lynette Fay and Karen Kirby, and will showcase musical talent from the area as well as highlighting the history and influence of music and language.

The new series returns to BBC Two Northern Ireland tomorrow, Thursday, October 16 at 10pm. The extended radio programme will then be available on BBC Radio Ulster from Sunday, October 19 at 6pm and there will be an opportunity to log on to bbc.co.uk/ni/blasceoil for extra features and behind the scenes material from each of the recordings.

The big one locally however, will take place this Friday October 17, when Blas Ceoil will be recording in Molly's Bar, Irvinestown with an impressive line-up to include Boys of the Lough, Andy Irvine, Grainne Duffy and Marcus O'Murchu.

The recording will begin at 7.45pm and entrance will be on a first come first served basis.
