A provisional licence holder who drove without supervision and without displaying 'L' plates was fined £100 when he appeared before Fermanagh Magistrates Court.
Eighteen year old Graham William Kelly from Wattlebridge Road, Newtownbutler was stopped by police at a police vehicle checkpoint on 2nd September this year.
The defendant was stopped driving a Ford Fiesta car. It transpired he was a provisional licence holder but was neither accompanied nor was he displaying 'L' plates.
The defendant was fined £50 on each charge by District Judge Liam McNally who also imposed three penalty points on the no 'L' plate offence.
3 penalty points for talking on mobile while driving
An Enniskillen motorist has been fined £100 and had three penalty points endorsed on her licence when she was observed by police talking on her hand-held mobile phone while driving.
Stella Cherry (54) from Beechmount Park in the town was observed committing the offence as she drove along the Queen Elizabeth road in Enniskillen and was stopped and cautioned by police.
District Judge Liam McNally, sitting at Fermanagh Magistrates Court, also fined the defendant £25 for additional charges of failing to produce her insurance and her licence.
£50 fine for urinating in public
Forty-six year old Gerald Thomas Anthony Houston from Kilmacormick Avenue in Enniskillen has been fined £50 for urinating in public.
The defendant appeared before Fermanagh Magistrates Court charged with indecent behaviour on 2nd October this year.
The defendant was observed by police urinating on Kilmacormick Avenue in the town at 1.30am on 2nd October last.
Defending, Garry Smyth told the court no-one else was around and therefore no-one else was inconvenienced in this matter.
Defendant had kids unrestrained in car
An Enniskillen man who was detected with unrestrained children in the car has appeared before Fermanagh Magistrates Court on motoring offences.
Hugh McGinley (22), with an address given as Old Rossory Church Road, was observed by police driving a Renault car along the Cornagrade Road in Enniskillen on 12th July this year with a female in the front seat of the car holding a baby on her knee.
The baby was unrestrained and police then noticed two children in the rear of the car also both unrestrained or without proper booster seats.
The baby on its mothers knee was only six months old.
The defendant admitted to police he had no licence or insurance.
For no insurance District Judge Liam McNally fined the defendant £150 and disqualified him from driving for six months.
For driving without a licence he was fined £50.
And for each of the three charges of having children unrestrained in a car he was fined £30.
