A year 14 student at Lisnaskea High School was honoured at a ceremony in W5, Odyssey, for being a runner up in a web design competition organised by valueoils.com and the Belfast Telegraph.
Iain Rogers was presented with the award along with hundreds of students from other schools across Northern Ireland. Iain designed his own website on the theme of 'protecting the environment', which was judged by a panel of IT and Education Experts.
Mrs Agnew, the ICT teacher, presenting the award to Iain, says that "ICT is an important part of the curriculum at Lisnaskea High School, all staff recognise that ICT gives pupils fantastic grounding for those who want to pursue a career in Information Technology".
She goes on to say, "there are great opportunities out there for those with a flair for I.T. and we at Lisnaskea High School encourage pupils to develop their ICT skills from year 8 on".
"We are very proud of Iain's achievements, many congratulations to Iain, from the staff at Lisnaskea High School"!
