Rebecca tops again at Henely

The weekend saw more rowing success, this time across the pond in England at Henley Women's Regatta.

Rebecca Humphreys, a former member of Portora Boat Club, now rowing for University of London, picked up the trophy in the Senior Quads category. This is a significant achievement, rowing outside her usual lightweight category, fending off stiff opposition from as far afield as Austrailia. Her final proved to be one of the most exhilarating races of the day, as they came from almost a length down, showing sheer guts and determination to power through a very strong Imperial College boat in the last 500metres.

After a very succesful year of rowing in London, her attention is now turned to qualifying her quad for Henley Royal Regatta in the coming weeks then onto the National Championships of Great Britain.

Juggling Medical school with early mornings and evening training every day have certainly paid off and Rebecca looks to have a bright future in rowing.
